Alaska Sealife Center
The Alaska Sealife Center is dedicated to marine education, research and wildlife response, rescue and rehabilitation. It also provides an opportunity for visitors to see a number of marine mammals, birds, fish and invertebrates. t also offers a number of animal encounter programs.
Anchorage Museum and Discovery Center
The Anchorage Museum and Discovery Center celebrates Alaska through its Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center, galleries and Alaska focused exhibit. Its Discovery Center engages visitors as well and features a planetarium, artwork, marine-life tanks, interactive exhibits and staff facilitated Discovery Center science labs.
Denali National Park
Danali National Park and Preserve is a 6 million acre with only one 92 mile road, with trails near the park road and entrance. At over 20 thousand feet tall, Danali (“Mount McKinley”) is the tallest mountain in North America and is a mecca for hikers and mountaineers. The wild natural landscape is extraordinary.

Katmai National Park & Preserve
Known for being a truly remote wilderness, this limited service park is inaccessible by car. Those prepared adventurers who do come to Katmai are greeted by active volcanoes, bears, moose, wolves, and many other animals in a virtually untouched world. Untamed beauty abounds.
Kenai Fjords National Park
This 670 thousand acre coastal park provides a close-up view of glaciers, Ice fields, and remarkable wildlife. Kenai Fjords National Park’s coastal fjords can be a particularly special experience for sea kayakers and the vast (700 square miles) Harding Icefield is magnificent.
Kobuk Valley National Park
The 1.8 million acre Kobuk Valley National Park has no developed facilities and is only accessible by plane, boat or foot making for a truly unique experience. Outdoor adventures, fishing, flightseeing, boating, hiking and camping are among the many possible activities. A unique aspect of the park is the Great Kobuk Sand Dunes which are the largest active dunes in the Arctic.
Wrangell-St. Elias National Park
An enormous park covering 13.2 million acres, Wrangell-St Elias National Park is the largest National Park in the United States and Mt. Elias is the second highest peak in the U.S. Ocean, rivers, lakes, mountains, glaciers, it seems to have it all. Wildlife ranges from a multitude of different birds to caribou, moose, sea lions, otters and much much more!
